Landing pages built to turn a click into a call

The cheapest way to halve your cost per lead is almost never a better bid. It is a better page.

In short

Included in every multi-platform plan.

$1,490 a month, all three

Every campaign has two halves, and agencies mostly work on one. Getting the click is bidding, structure and keywords. Turning it into a phone call is a page, and if that page is your homepage then a homeowner who searched for an emergency repair at eleven at night is being asked to find their own way to the thing they wanted.

This is where the money in a small account actually is. Doubling a conversion rate has exactly the same effect on cost per lead as halving the click price, and it is far more achievable. It is also permanent, which a bid advantage is not.

Why not just send ads to my homepage?

Because a homepage is built to introduce a business and a landing page is built to answer one search. Somebody who typed an emergency repair query needs the service, the area, the hours and the phone number immediately. A homepage gives them a menu instead, and a share of them leave.

It also costs you on the bidding side. Ad platforms measure how well the destination matches the search, and a mismatched page raises what you pay per click. Sending traffic to a homepage is charged for twice: once in conversion rate, once in click price.

What is actually on a landing page that converts?

The service named in the words the searcher used, the area you serve, a phone number reachable without scrolling on a phone, proof that you are real, and one thing to do next. Everything else is optional, and most of it costs conversions rather than earning them.

The most common failure is a page that tries to be impressive. Awards, mission statements, stock photography of a handshake and a carousel of services all push the phone number further down the screen. On a phone, at night, with a problem, that is the whole game.

How do you test landing pages?

One variant a month against the current page, changing one meaningful thing at a time: the headline, the offer, the form length, the position of the phone number. The winner becomes the new control. Small, boring, monthly, and it compounds in a way that a redesign every two years never does.

We report what the test changed and what it did not. A test that fails is information about your market, and pretending otherwise is how agencies end up testing button colours for a year.

Do the pages load fast?

They have to. A landing page that takes four seconds on a phone has already lost a share of an emergency audience before it renders, and every one of those visitors was paid for. Speed is not a technical nicety in paid traffic; it is a line item.

The same standard applies to this site, which is the easiest way for you to check whether we mean it.

What this channel will not do

Where Landing pages is the wrong answer

Every channel has a shape. Knowing where one stops is the only way to know what the others are for.

  • A landing page cannot fix an offer nobody wants, or a business that does not answer the phone.
  • Testing needs traffic. On a very small budget a test can take longer to reach a conclusion than the change is worth, and we will say so rather than run it anyway.
  • Some trades genuinely convert better on a full site than a single page. That is a finding from the account, not a policy.

Landing pages questions

Do I need a landing page if I already have a website?

For paid traffic, usually yes. A website is built for people who already know your name; a landing page is built for one search from somebody who does not. They serve different visitors and they are measured differently, which is why the same business often needs both.

How many landing pages will I have?

Usually one per campaign, because a campaign is a group of services that share a buyer and a pitch. A roofer running roofing and solar has two. That is the same logic that decides your plan, which is why the page count and the plan line up.

Do you use call tracking on the pages?

Yes, on every account. Without it you can see clicks and forms but not calls, which in the trades is most of the leads. Recordings also settle the argument about lead quality faster than any report, because you can hear the calls yourself in the portal.

Can you use my existing landing pages?

If they convert, yes. We will measure before rebuilding. Replacing a page that is working because it was not built by us is how agencies waste the first month of a relationship.
