Start with the application.
Open the Google Advanced Verification request form. Before submitting, have your legal business information and both Google Ads customer IDs in front of you.
- Request type: Select “Apply for Advanced Verification.”
- Google Ads account: Enter the customer ID for your primary Google Ads account.
- Additional Google Ads customer IDs: Enter the customer ID for your Local Services Ads account.
- Business model: Select “Direct service provider.”
- Business identity: Enter the full legal business name and complete street address, including any suite or unit number.
- Your role: Choose “Owner” when the owner is completing the request.
- Account login email: Enter the email address used to access the Local Services Ads account. You can also copy your ads specialist.
- Registration: Upload a clear copy or screenshot of the state-issued business registration showing the legal name.
- Fictitious name registration: Use this optional field when the public business name differs from the name registered with the state.
- Final review: Check every ID, email, name, and address before selecting Submit. Corrections after submission are difficult.
Create one through Google Ads signup before starting this application.
Then wait for Google.
Verification can finish in two to four weeks, but many accounts take closer to two or three months. The timeline belongs to Google’s Verification Team.
A duplicate request can create more delay. Wait for an email with a subject similar to “Action Required: Your application for Advanced Verification [2-xxxxxxxxxx].”
Prepare phase two before the email arrives.
Business and contact information
- Your full legal name and the business owner’s name, if different.
- The full legal business name and any DBA.
- The registered business address and any separate mailing address.
- Your business type: service area, storefront, hybrid, or aggregator.
Paperwork and branding
- A sample receipt you would give a customer.
- The front and back of your business card.
- Vehicle registration showing the registered owner. A title is not accepted.
Five vehicle photos
- Left side, right side, front, and rear with the license plate visible.
- One close-up of the license plate.
- Show the full vehicle from wheels to roof in every image except the plate close-up.
Location proof
- An exterior photo showing the address and suite or office number.
- A wider image showing the full building.
- For a storefront, permanent signage showing the business name.
- A utility bill showing the business name and registered address.
- For a home address, the exterior of the home with the street number visible.
Trade tools and equipment
- At least two images of specialized, trade-related tools or equipment.
- Place a business card or branded invoice beside the tools in each image.
- Common hand tools alone are not enough. Locksmiths can show lock picks, locks, and keys. Garage door companies can show springs and specialized equipment.
Make every image easy to approve.
- Keep every file under 25 MB.
- Use clear, well-lit, in-focus, unedited images.
- The owner, manager, or authorized representative should complete the application.
- Reply directly inside Google’s original verification email thread.
